How to put a password on a folder in Mac
If you share your Mac with more users and there contents to which you'd prefer they did not have access, one of the options you have at your disposal is to put all in a folder and protect it with a password . So every time someone tries to open this folder and access these files, you need to enter a special code. How do? It is quite easy. In umComo.com.br explain you how to put password to a folder on the Mac .
Directions
Go to Applications> Utility> Utility disks.
Once in Disk Utility , go to the File menu and select New> Disk Image from Folder.
A pop-up window will open. Select the folder you want to protect and click on " Image ".
Will open a new window in which you must select how you want to save this image, suppose the desired name and select the desired location. Open the menu in image format and select Read / Write, and select Encryption 128-bit AES encryption . Click Save.
A window in which you need to enter the password you want to use to protect this folder will open. Write it in both fields, make sure that the option "Save password in keychain" is not checked , and click Accept.
Dmg file in one directory that had the folder you want to protect will be created. Check it asks you for the password when you try to open it and everything is in order. You can now delete the original folder and leave just protected. .
