Facebook today introduced an app for reading news called "Paper " for smartphones and tablets . The " app" will have 19 news sections divided into sports, technology , pop culture, for example , in addition to presenting your News Feed user on a different look seen on the main Facebook application .
The "Paper " , created by a team of 15 people within the company , will be available first for the iPhone from coming only in the U.S. iTunes store week. There is no provision for other countries receiving the application , as well as other devices like iPad and Android devices .
The announcement comes a day after Mark Zuckerberg , president of the social network , promise more applications created by the company to be launched in 2014 . Rumors indicated that "Paper " was in development for years .
Each of the sections of news will have a rotating carousel with images on top individual cards with pictures and stories below this area . The application is designed to look different than the other Facebook applications as the official social network and " Messenger " . Users can choose which sections they wish to " sign " in order to get the news the highlighted section to open the " app" . The map will also feature local information, without the user having to search for news from your town . Initially , however, this function is not available .
There is also a function to share the news to friends of social network , and the user can see how the publication will be before they go to your News Feed . These shares may be viewed on the web version of Facebook .
The "Paper " premiere without ads, but they should be added next to sponsored stories in the future , since 53 % of the profit comes from these social networking
